Great Neighbours: Two of Melbourne’s Premier Event Venues

A lot has happened in Docklands since the dawn of the new millenia. Rapid development and construction have taken place and this has included some impressive buildings. Not least of these is a CBD landmark and an icon of a sporting mad city. Docklands Stadium (commonly known as Etihad Stadium) is the second largest of Melbourne’s sporting and event venues and its importance to the city is growing by the day.

Harbour Kitchen is not quite on the same scale as Docklands Stadium, but the success of our event venues and our dedication to offering great entertainment and service has followed a similar trajectory to our neighbour. Since we first opened our doors, we have steadily built a loyal following of new and repeat guests, making Harbour Kitchen one of Melbourne’s most sought after event venues.

Docklands Stadium is now undeniably one of the city’s most popular year round event venues. Sell-out AFL matches, capacity cricket crowds, concerts and a range of other entertainment events have all contributed to this growing reputation. With crowds regularly reaching or nearing the 50 000 capacity the stadium has added significantly to the great atmosphere our waterfront suburb has become known for.

Harbour kitchen has also grown in popularity over the years as an increasing number of people have discovered the unique blend of premier location and quality service that we offer. Like Docklands Stadium, we have hosted a huge range of capacity events over the years that are remembered as much for the stunning setting as they are for the entertainment value they provide. The big and bold Docklands Stadium facade makes up part of our CBD skyline view and, as another of Melbourne’s fantastic event venues, it offers continued inspiration to the Harbour Kitchen staff. We take great pride in providing unrivalled service and great entertainment and a quick glance at the stadium from one of our beer gardens or our floor to ceiling windows always reminds of us of this commitment.
